Artifacts Alive !

This particular artifact from World War II interested me. It is one of the Star of David pins that were used to identify the Jewish people in Europe during Hitler's reign of terror. To many of us this simple pin means nothing but a novelty item, but to those that were labeled with it, it marks death and torture. Hitler enforced the Nazi party to label homosexuals, disabled, Jewish, and many others with pins of some sort that did not fit into the Aryan race. This item's significance is so indescribable as those Jewish families that wore these shameful pins HAVING to be identified because of their religion. Then later shipped off to a concentration or death camp. Just think if you were labeled for being Christian by wearing a cross, or Hindu and wearing an Olm, or even Muslim and having a moon and star on your clothing ? Today we actually do label ourselves, only because it is acceptable... If only the Jewish stars were acceptable, then many of lives would not have perished in Hilter's time.
